I asked this over at TFL during the outage, but I really want to hear from you guys too.

Like the subject says, what is your favorite among the current production revolvers available in .41 Magnum? I've been toying with the idea of getting a 4 5/8" Blackhawk for plinking, hiking, and maybe javelina hunting, but I'd appreciate hearing about what others like.

I am a single action fan so my choice would be the Ruger Blackhawk. For carry I would prefer the 4 5/8 but hunting, plinking or targets the 6 1/2 would and is what I own in 41 mag.

I have a 4 inch 657 that I bought new in the 80's. Great gun but their real hard to find. One S&W 41 mag that you can find with a 4 inch barrel is a 57-5 they were made in a limted run in 2005.

I went ahead and ordered the 4 5/8" Blackhawk. I was kinda feeling a single action itch and I definitely couldn't find a deal on a S&W 57/657 like I did on the Ruger.

$370.14 brand new. :what:

My 4 5/8" Blackhawk in .41 is one of my favorites, perfect balance of size and power in my book.

If you reload you will love your choice even more. A great all around gun and a great all around round. Enjoy, Bill

Taurus Tracker 41 Magnum

My Favoite 41 Magnum is the Taurus Tracker 41 Magnum. Besides the Old Smith & Wesson, which was my first 41 Magnum. All things considered the 41 actually out performs the 44 magnum in ballistic testing. I will search for a article I have concerning the ballistics
If you reload try these...
Hornady Has A beautiful HP/XTP 210 GR. Hollowpoint....Try it!
If You can find them they made a silhouette bullet (JHSC 210 gr.)

My only .41 handgun right now is also my favorite ;)

It's a 5 1/2" Bisley Blackhawk in stainless with unfluted, engraved cylinder. Very accurate and reasonably comfortable to shoot with the mightiest .41 loads I've dared to cook up.

.41 Mag Ruger Blackhawk 4 5/8" barrel, most accurate gun I own bar none.
Shots everything from my 170 JHP to my 200 gr Full WC's all the way up to my favorite, a custom 265 gr LBT style bullet.

If I had to trim down my collection, it would be one of the last to go.

JesseL - are those the factory stocks? I'd heard Ruger was dropping wood in favor of rubber... :(
