First I ever shot was a break-action single-shot .22lr ThompsonCenter Contender, as a camper at scout camp. I ended up working there later on for four years as an instructor Great gun to teach kids or beginners with. Single-shot inspires better marksmanship, vs "ooh that pop-pop-pop is cool"
First I ever bought was a Pietta 1851 Navy replica in .44, I spent much time deciding what I wanted my first gun to be
First 'Modern' firearm I've owned was my S&W 5906 handed down/sold to me by a great older friend
First gun bought at a gun-store with license was my ltd edition S&W 1911 polished stainless, GI style guiderod and plug
I won't be parting with any of those until I'm too frail to lift 'em!
