"The Green Berets"

[John Wayne voice] Savoy Six, this is bulldog, over![/John Wayne voice]

One movie that rarely gets mention is "The Odd Angry Shot", an Australian Vietnam War movie. A different perspective on the Vietnam war, with some good humor thrown in.

Flying movies is why I chose Flight of the Intruder and We Were Soldiers. In Flight, the shoot-down scene is incredible, and the aftermath, especially the Spads flying CAS, is thrilling every time I see it, the sound nothing short of spectacular. Same goes for the Broken Arrow scene in Soldiers. Great stuff!

Flight of the Intruder is a great movie. Gotta get that one on DVD. Steven Coonts is a great author and a damn good pilot. I've spoken to him a few times and he's the real deal.

One of my favorites is "The Siege of Firebase Gloria". Too bad the duke wasn't in that one.

Honestly, I gotta say Black Hawk Down, just because I've seriously seen it over 30 times and still dont get tired of watching it. I guess its just a great action flick.

We Were Soldiers was awesome, I loved the Broken Arrow part.

SPR, Tom Sizemore was awesome, as he was battling it out with the German officer, and throwing his 1911 at the officer. LOL.

Honestly I liked Gettysburg. I watched it as a kid, and even that kept my interest when it was suppose to teach me something.

Enemy At The Gates. Great snipers movie. Rachel Weiss... Mmm...

Man, that's a tough one. I've probably seen 300 or more. On balance I'd have to say my overall favorite remains "Zulu," but there are many close contenders.
