Ugh yes way....and I did use GP11 ammo.Like I said I don't shoot my Swiss rifles alot, more use with them might make me shoot better with them but other milsurps I own do as good if not better. My one Garand beats them, most of my others equal them like the Swedish mausers.

Take a stroll through this thread......

35 whelen had awesome groups with the Swiss although he has a diopter sight on his.2-3 inch groups is about normal with most milsurp rifles at 100yds with factory ammo.Be it a Chilean,Swedish mauser,Swiss rifles some Garands and EnfieldsFinnish Mosin M39(some) results are often similar.

Swiss rifles more often all shoot good, because of condition, while other types can vary,my one Garand is very accurate,2 others I own shoot twice the size group on average but finding a particular Mauser or Enfield or M39 Mosin and they are all capable of equal or better accuracy than a Swiss.

This M39 I just got is equal in my hands accuracy wise to the Swiss I have

While this is my best group of that day, this particular Garand does this typically usually no more than a 2 inch group when I do my part

I am not sure 100yards is the right distance to challenge such rifles.

take 7.51 or 7.52 bore K31, plus GP11 and a Swiss Diopter and you'll outshoot anything, maybe except a Swedish mauser.

I own both a Swedish mauser and a Garand, and are quite familiar with enfields..

In one thing I agree with you. The average 31 is better than the average "other"..

it would be interesting to cerosafe your 31 bore to see how tight it still is.. Of course if you have a 7.57 bore, many things could be explained.

I have a k31 with a mod-stock for sale actually. I am asking $250 I have some pics I will try to post here in a sec.

pics of k31

here are the pics. The barrel is free floated. The bore is in great condition and the gun is a shooter. Wolf ammo is what I shot through it and it did well. Wolf ammo is plenty available.

I assume that's Wolf Gold, right? IIRC it is made by Prvi Partisan. One way or the other, it's good stuff. Probably not GP11 quality, but pretty good.

Don't worry stocks are made that look and feel like the original I just modified mine to blend in with my environment or in snow. Yes it was wolf gold ammo. The orginal stock was putting a lot of pressure on the right side of the barrel and ruining accuracy. So I floated it and conitnued from there. All I did was improve the function of the rifle. I know its no collector now but these guns are less likely to sell around here than a russian m44. So I made it better for hunting and not as good for collecting.

I absolutely love my K31. I refinished the stock as it looked little better than a piece of firewood when I got it. It was really, really bad! I think it came out rather nice actually.

I added one of the clamp on scope mounts that AIM surplus sells, and a Tasco Varmint scope. Here she sits.

Accuracy was pretty good with the GP11 but I felt the rifle probably had a lot left in it. So I bought reloading dies and began to experiment. In the end I found that IMR 4064 and Sierra Match King 168's are the perfect combination for my rifle! Here is what she does at 100 yards when I am on my game.

For the money I don't think the K31 has a rival. The Swiss KNOW how to make a fine rifle!

yes it was the original destroyed, mutilated, horrid, absolutely mangled beech stock. It was not a walnut.

well apparently i can't modify my own gun to suit me without insulting the collector snobs around here! Hasn't anyone ever heard of a practical move? If the gun doesn't shoot good make it shoot better! I could not afford an aftermarket stock so I modified the one I had. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT DON'T LOOK AT IT! Fair enough?
