I've been shooting 22 cal. CB rounds for years but I've found a new appreciation for them.
I've been invaded by coons and they are feasting on my bird feeders.
I live in the country and usually sound is not an issue but I'm now raising my grandkids who are 3 and 5 and the regular report of a 22 long would wake them up and require a lot of justification as to why I'm shooting the cute racoons.
Thank God for the CB long round it is more quiet and accurate than a BB gun and a heck of a lot more lethal.

By three years old, I was already educated as to the damage of 'coons, and didn't care about the "cuteness".

I detest 'coons, and all other life forms that eat my chickens!

Anyway, yes, I love those CBs too. Not the most accurate, but still fulfill a very large need.

At 3 I was also being schooled in the world of survival and that an egg came from a chickens butt, but as a grandpa/parent I'd choose a better time than 1 a.m. to teach the lesson that should be taught.
Those 22 CB longs teach the coons a lesson and are plenty accurate from my Remington pump
