Yugo SKS bayonet droop

I got one of the SKS's from AIM a couple of weeks ago. I've just started the process of cleaning it up & noticed that the bayonet doesn't stay all the way in the stock groove when it is folded. The bayonet point actually clears the wood by a fraction of an inch. Is there something I can do to get it to stay tight against the channel?

I suspect its bayonet attachment is loose. Plan 'A' is to remove the bayonet. Plan 'B' would be to tighten the screw.
