I hear that Century is out of Yugo kits and that particular variants availability may soon be drying up.

If you want one, you may not want to hesitate.

I've heard this about the Yugo parts kits also. In fact I think Classic Arms has something about this on their website. That said, I don't know if its true. If it is the case, I'm very glad I made the trade I did last week. I traded my Sub 2000 (a nice gun in its own right), for the Yugo Underfolder and accessories pictured below (it also came with a 2nd mag that is in the pouch). A friend bought this Yugo with accessories a couple years ago, testfired it, and it's been sitting in his safe every since.

Heard the same thing at the gunstore last Monday, but I also heard it wasnt 'just' Yugo underfolders,it was a wide assortment of 'lacking parts and kits'too.I guess the well is drying up...anyone know why?

The ATF began enforcing a "non-sporting firearms" barrel ban about a year ago. It's been on the books for a while, but unenforced.

New parts kits are coming in, but now with chopped up barrels--it's disgusting. Saiga should just set up a US plant and be done with it. :)

Don't the Yugo kits put together by Century use a new DCI receiver, and new barrel? I know the earlier ones did. I'm reading that the parts are just running out. Most recent examples from Classic are shipping without cleaning rods.

AK part sets..

Century quit selling Yugoslavian AK part sets to retailers and distributors quite a long time ago. They also stopped wholesaling Romanian AKM part sets late last summer. Recently they sold some, but claim there will be no more.
The only outfit that I know who still sells the Yugo part sets is::
APEX Gun Parts:
https://www.apexgunparts.com/index.php/cPath/51

On the link above you will see some of the early Polish AK47's that have come in since the barrel ban, they are like new.

Century is still building/selling Yugo Underfolders, but is attempting to make what Yugo part sets they have left last a bit longer. They still manufacture with new barrels but they no longer use a DCI receiver on the underfolder. I think they changed over about two months ago, not sure what was the reason for the switch.

Word is Romanian WASR's are getting in short supply. The factory is just not delivering. I made sure to buy a WASR 10/63 Underfolder as soon as I heard the news.

Anyway we buy from APEX, they are good folks to deal with.

Does Century still use the DCI/NODAK receiver on their fixed stock guns?

looks like Saiga is gonna be the new cheap AK to get if it's true.

I just went and bought another,M70AB2,a WASR 10 and 2 more Saiga's today...seems that the 'rumors' are true to some extent.I am looking at going bac an buying an RPK too,its not in good condition and price is a bit much but its...now or never...as it seems.

Went to a gun show today, and saw plenty of Yugo Underfolders. Most were in the $450 range.
