Anybody heard of this manufacturer? Do they make a quality optic? Or are they like the BSA of night vision?

i owned one of their gen3 scopes for a couple years. i was extremely impressed with the quality in terms of what i could see in the dark. i have some old threads with pictures somewhere (probably on arfcom) that i took through it.

i'm not a fan of cheap optics and it wasn't by any means a cheap optic at the time. (it was about $2k)

however, i eventually sold it because i came to realize that i had no use for a permanently mounted night-only scope that weighed almost as much as the rest of my gun.

(edit: i really can't speak to durability or anything. it hardly ever got out of the safe. and i only shot it a few times as none of the ranges around here are open after dark, and at the time i didn't have any private land to shoot on)

Yukon optics is part of a line of imported optics from Asia I believe. I read some info on them and from what I understand, they are decent products. However, I am a huge supporter of products made in the USA, so I didn't pursue it any futher.

Yukon Sibir is Russian made night vision. Titanium is abundant in Russia and they make alot of the Yukons out of it. They use the Zeiss licensed lens grinders and ex military manufacturing equiptment. These people have some interest in creating a good trouble free product as they need to eat long term as there are no handouts. They have no unions covering up sloppy lazy employee's mistakes. To that end my Ykon Sibir 3x Gen 1 + scope has been on my Remington 1100 12 ga.since 2002 with no trouble yet. Maybe 400 rounds of buckshot and slugs have gone thru it and I have blasted a few coyotes and dogs and racoons off the ranch.
