I have a P series Colt '62 Frontier Scout that needs refinishing. It belonged to my father. The paint on the receiver is almost all gone. I intend to reblue the steel, but I don't know about the zinc alloy frame. I think Gun Kote should work. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Any of the "paint" type gun coatings will do fine.
Brownell's Aluma-Hyde II, Guncoat, Lauer Duracoat or one of the others will be at least as good as the factory coating.
Personally, I'd be inclined to use a non-baking coating like the Lauer or Aluma-Hyde II.
