Being a fairly frugal guy that likes bang for the buck I picked up a couple of M88As recently when they went on sale at several on line "wholesalers" for under $200.

Both functioned fine with 115g Lawman FMJ but after less than 50 rounds each of the pins that hold the extractors in place starting to walk out. Any one else experienced this? Any recommendations for a solution? My first thought was to tap them back in and then put a little drop of green lock tight on the head of the pin and let it seep down and lock them in place. Any one see any potential problems with trying this solution? .....or should I put a little blue LT on then drive them back in place? Thanks in advance for any advice.

How will you keep the Loctite from gluing the extractor, too? It will wick wherever it can get to.
Beretta and others stake the hole after the pin is inserted. Looking at several of mine, they use a narrow blade tip punch that is about twice as long as the hole is in diameter. Holds the pin in just fine. Since your gun is finished it would slightly deface the finish around the hole, but it would keep the pin in place without risk of gluing the extractor in a fixed position.

Go to Home Depot, or any hardware store and buy a cupped finish nail set punch big enough to surround the hole.

Then peen the hole on both sides with it.

It will leave a circular ring around the hole that looks like factory.

But the holes will be reduced enough the pins will never creep again.

Unless you need to remove them.
Then they will come out normally with no damage to the frame or pin.
