Zeiss scope question

I just bought a Conquest 6.5-20/50 MC, along with 477640 "sunshade for 50mm Zeiss Conquest Riflescope" from Zeiss.

then I find out that the darn thing doesn't fit....I don't think there is threading on my scope at the objective end....

How can this be when it says it's for "50mm conquest riflescope" on the package?? Am I doing something wrong??

A friend of mine has a Conquest 6.5-20x50 I do not know if it is the MC model, but it is threaded on the objective lens side. I am not trying to sound condecending, but I would double check as it seems odd that your scope wouldnt have the threads, if it does not my advice would be to exchange the scope if it is still within the return policy and get one that has the threads.
