Wouldn't it be nice to have a sticky about reloading mistakes? Just came back from the range with the same .223 ammo I brought there, seems I did them with with a 2.28" OAL (gas gun, Wouldn't fit the mag). I searched and there have been other posts. Some sad some funny. Any chance the powers that be could start a sticky where we could all put them? After all, we do learn from our failures.

Well, ya know, my next mistake will be my first… 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Edit to add: the good natured sarcasm is pretty deep here. Haha. I have an extensive library of mistakes: but, thank God, all eyes & fingers. And I’m protecting the hearing I still have with great vigor! My favorite is actually forgetting to expand/flare pistol brass… pffft

Talk about jynxing yourself! 🤦‍♂️

There’s a lot that could go into a sticky but I think a better solution is learning to use the search function. Even more important is learning when to use it. I see a whole lotta questions and complaints that are already in a sticky (tuning balance beam scales, erhem!!) that just get ignored and end up as long threads repeating the same questions and getting the same answers every time.

A quick search of the H&R forum will usually bring up an answer quicker than looking through a sticky topic.

JMHO - YMMV

uuh, isn't the real question why are you loading live rounds when you haven't made some dummy rounds first to see if they fit the mag and cycle? Not to be curt, but were you just planning on getting lucky? there's no luck in relaoding as there is no crying in baseball ... lol

That would be the internet's longest thread ever in no time as people commented on each other's mistakes and then commented on each other's comments then rebutted the comments on their comments, ad infinitum.
Nah. It would get locked before page four. About the time someone mentioned the Lee FCD. 😁

I do have a Lee factory crimp die.

Guessing he brought the rounds he created for a bolt gun..........................I dunno, I wasn't there, just the way I took it...............

I rest my case. :)

I acknowledge that it would be quite long but so is " what have I done in the reloading room today" and "today I enjoyed the outdoors and chose to carry.. " neither of which have any beneficial learning experiences, they actually almost seem to invite bragging
