Is it ok for me to ship a rifle from NE to myself at a physical address in AK?
Thanks THR'ers.

Q: May a nonlicensee ship firearms interstate for his or her use in hunting or other lawful activity?
Yes. A person may ship a firearm to himself or herself in care of another person in the State where he or she intends to hunt or engage in any other lawful activity. The package should be addressed to the owner. Persons other than the owner should not open the package and take possession of the firearm.
I kinda feel like the love of THR is lacking on this question. Sorry my post count isn't in the thousands.
uh, see #9 in Sams' link above.does this apply if.... i live in FL and want to ship an AR or AK to Kali?
islandphish you had a right to expect a civil answer to your question. If we only asked questions that had never been asked or discussed subjects that had never been discussed we would only check this site about once a month or less. If you don't think a post is worthy of a response just let someone else handle it.

Now that's funny right there.Yikes! said:I am not offended.
I would recommend that you review UPS and FedEx Tariffs before adding to the pile of incorrect information on the interwebs. While it is legal, I think you will find the "common carriers" require you to ship it to a FFL, their rules, not ATF's.
