Meet my Harem of S&W Revolvers,,,

This is a set I put together just for the pleasure of owning them,,,
I wanted the four most popular cartridges,,,
In the four common frame sizes.



Jezebel - Model 629, N-frame in .44 Magnum
Brighid - Model 686, L-frame in .357 Magnum
Morgana - Model 67, K-frame in .38 Special
Lilith - Model 63, J-frame in .22 LR.

I know it's shameless bragging,,,
But I love going to the range and watching people,,,
When I open the case my Harem always draws an appreciative crowd.

J-frame goodness. All sporting S&W's '60 Pro grips' - $43 + s/h from S&W - and fit/feel/look great! CW from UL: 5" 63-4 (.22 LR); 4" 651-1 (.22 WMR); 3" 63-5 (.22 LR); 2 1/8" 632-2 'Pro' (.327 Federal Magnum); and 3" 60-15 'Pro' (.357 Magnum).



I never thought I would love J-frames! I am an N-frame kind of shooter. The J's are addictive. I really feel blessed to have this humble collection. They are just fun shooters, too.

Picked this one up at the gunshow last weekend.
Security Six "Marksman Edition".

Another S&W 29-2.... this one is a bit rough, the previous owner neglected it, leaving it with some rust pitting on the surface (not so visible in these pics). The bore is good, the action seems fine, but I might need to refinish it. Or, just keep it as is and shoot the tar out of it....

I really enjoy the pictures on this thread, but they are an annoying reminder of how hard it is to find a new revolver these days that does not have a fully shrouded barrell.

Not that a barrell shroud is a bad idea, but does EVERY new revolver made have to have one? (The only exceptions I can think of are a few small framed .38's like the S&W chief's special or the Ruger LCR)

I would really like to find a new .357 with a 6 inch barrell without a shroud, like the old Security Six or the S&W Model 66.

After endless toying with grips, I think I found the perfect combination:



The T-Grip isn't the right size (it's off of my S&W K-Frame), but it worked well enough that I'm going to get one sized to this gun.

I've tried the Hogue wooden monogrips, which are too big for my hand. I've got a set of Pachmayr Presentation grips that are rubber. They tame the heavier loads, but they're ugly and too grippy for me. This setup, with the stock grips and a T-grip, fits my hands perfectly. It's pretty comfortable with my reloads and I don't think heavier loads would be a problem if I carried it as a brush gun.
