Ok y'all So i have to go to a a black tie banquet dinner suits the whole 10 yards anyways my question to you is how do you carry in this situation. I have a friends kel tec p 32 while he is out of town for the weekend and that is what I am planning on carrying it reasons why I know it well and can shoot it pretty darn well so now I am trying to figure out how to carry it he has one of those little metal clips on it so I'm thinking inside my jacket pocket that is inside the jacket so what do y'all think?

When I carried a p32 I used the clip and slid I'd aiwb next to my belt buckle. Now days when I would go to such I simply carry in a smartcarry. Also you could buy a cheap uncle mikes or blackhawk pocket holster

My favorite carry rig by far is this one that member Joel made for me early in his holster-making career:

VERY tuckable. Only the straps show when I've got a thin dress shirt tucked in around the gun. It would perhaps be possible that a very thin tux white shirt might let the color of the dark gun on my hip show if I removed my jacket, but I normally wear dark shirts and the gun is literally invisible -- again, except for the two nondescript black straps around the belt.

Seecamp in the pocket in my cummerbund. Kinda hard to imagine and ol weed hummer in a tux ain't it.

I even break out my black Stetson for them kind of doin's.

I have a S&W 442 with the pretty Smith grips (You know, the checkered walnut ones with the gold S&W emblems in them) at 4 o' clock IWB usually

Other times I have a 3" S&W Model 10 with pretty grips in the same position.

And sometimes I even tuck my SW1911 in that spot, with the pretty grips

Oh yes! Don't forget the "mirror polished with pearl grips" NAA 22WMR in the suit jacket pocket ;)

Yeah, I dress up a lot and enjoy it. :D

I have an old Ken Null J frame upside down should rig just for that.

Takes my old steel 640 .38 special perfectly.

Geesh, I wear a suit and such for only three occasions, weddings, funerals and baptisms. Lately it seems to be only funerals that are occurring. It's the only time I carry IWB and then it's an AMT .380 (single action model). Tucked in at about 8 o'clock (I'm a southpaw).

When I'm wearing a suit and tie, I love to carry my FN Hi power in an Allessi Bodyguard rig. Very comfortable, and concealable.

A P32 fits nicely in a DeSantis Superfly pocket holster - with or without the anti-print cover. The clip carry method works well for IWB but in a suit jacket (or Tux) it will drag the pocket down because it doesn't distribute the weight evenly.

Last time I got that dressed up was my wedding. I told my bride that my matte stainless CZ 75B was my dress gun, a very classy looking piece that would go perfectly with a tux, and that I should wear it to the wedding.

You can guess what she told me.

You can guess what she told me.

Yes, I can, but her Dad was caring the shotgun. (LOL)

Me for a black tie event, just the usual, a Walther PPK in a Galco Executive Shoulder Holster, cumber bun, frilled shirt, bow tie, tux and gym shoes. My surname is really James not Jim.

When "formal" I go small, a NAA Mini my front right pocket. Normally a black tie event isn't exactly a high risk area, so the better than a sharp stick NAA would work for me. But then again I don't own a tie, so what do I know about black tie events?

I have a belly band holster that my Kahr PM40 fits nicely into. It's come in pretty handy for the few times I've had to wear a tux. If I'm just wearing one of my regular old suits, I can wear a belt with all of the pants and the pockets are just loose enough to hide the PM40.

As some have alluded, a gentleman doesn't wear a suit to a black-tie event. Such an event requires a tuxedo.

Carry options are the same, but don't wear a suit to a black-tie dinner.

I went James Bond traditional,,,

It's been a while but the last time I wore a tux,,,
I went all James Bond traditional.

I carried a borrowed Beretta .25 in a minimal shoulder holster,,,
Absolutely no one noticed I was carrying a handgun.

If I were to ever don a tux again,,,
It would be with my Taurus 25-PLY in the same rig

lol, 4895, that is what I was thinking. But....the ppk seems so underated in here. It is pretty, easily hideable, and is actually accurate enough to take care of any personal protection situation. IMO ;)
