I was having a slight problem with my grip not always depressing the grip safety. I installed some ultra slim grips on my 1911 as soon as I got it and that was the problem. Once I went back to standard thickness grips the problem was solved for me.
I would have to say it is the other way around being that CZ is more or less designed after the HP platform. I love my Hi-Power and my Beretta's a 92F and a PX4 storm. Each has it's own purpose. I would recommend not buying a gun until you Shoot some different guns and find what fits you the...
RTTX Thanks for the info. I check and it seems that my buffer is about 1/4 inch to long. It me right measures right at 3 1/4 inch long. I guess I need to find a shorter buffer. Thanks for the help
OK I believe my mags are crap. I just ordered 6 new HK high reliability mags. Here is my next problem I think. I can lock the bolt back manually but the carrier and bolt seem to be locked to far forward for it to be able to strip a round from a loaded magazine. Below is a pic of what I see.
or...
Ok it has been 25 years since I have fired an M16 in the service. I just bought an AR-15 M4 it is a Stag Arms 2H upper on a CMMG lower all new. My question is, "and I can't remember for the life of me" when firing and the magazine is empty is the bolt supposed to lock to the rear? Also does it...
I stopped at Lee in Hartford, WI the other day to pick up their powder measure bar and to inquire about the springs on my saftyprime coming loose. As I was waiting to talk to a tech Mr Lee him self came out to talk to me and explained that to me about the gear being designed to strip so you...
Shoney I wish I could open my head and dump your 47 years of knowledge in. I agree with what you said in your post.
I am new to reloading and I do comprehend much of what is listed in the books I have read.
I checked Hodgdons, Lyman, lee and speer books and could not find data on Lead 180...
Thanks ron in PA for contributing some actual information.
To the others who responded why bother if you can't help out. I have the Lyman, lee and a winchester reloading manual but none list any loads for a 180 gr with the powders I have and Hodgdon does not list one either, that is why I...
Looking for some load data for 180gr lead flat point 40 S&W. I am just reloading for punching paper right now and want a nice mild load for my Hi-Power 40S&W
I have on hand CCI small pistol primers and some Remington small pistol magnum Primers #5 1/2
Powders on hand are

I would look at the Beretta PX4 Storm in .40 it really shoots great and so does the S&W M&P both can be had for around $500 NIB. Also the Browning/FN Hi-Power in .40 is a great shooter at about the same price.
Got my classic turret and a bunch of other stuff from kempf's. Great people to do business with. Sue was very helpful in getting me set up with everything I need including some of their cast bullets. I will buy powder and primers local as it is just cheaper that way.
I had the same thing happen to me last week. My credit card info was used to make a bunch of small charges on the Internet for weight lose/diet products, A blockbuster online account and some other small 8-9 dollar charges. All were caught and reported to the bank before they cleared. Thing is...
I have put 1200+ rounds (all 230gr Ball ammo) through my PT1911 trouble free so far. but after stripping it to clean the other day I used a bore light for the first time to get a good look at the barrel and noticed that along the left side of each and every grove there is pitting down the entire...
Lee Classic at $145 compared to a Dillon at $350-400. I got the Lee and with the money I saved got a 3,000 bullets a pound of powder and 2500 primers and still have cash left over for more supplies. Im a happy camper.
