Tightest choke you can shoot steel in ( Ducks or Geese is Modified ) ...and you need a Full choke for Turkey....so what you're suggesting is not practical.
No, just clean & lube the gun properly after you shoot it....
I don't see much of a difference in accuracy between .38 spl and .357 mag cartridges...in my 4" or 6" S&W revolvers especially ....although you might have to adjust your hold point on a target a little bit ...depending on the...
Re-hab....talk to your doctors....( not guys on the intenet !! )
With arm, or hand, weakness or injuries ....controls on the gun and how it fits your hands is a bigger deal ( although its always critical )...and reducing recoil. So in general - maybe a single stack gun, with a shorter...
All mfg's have ups and downs....but none of my Citori XS Skeet models ...even at 400,000 plus rounds have even needed springs or firing pins....( but that's not a big deal even when it does happen )...
-------------
but all of my shells are "Target Loads" ...even my primary 12ga load is 1...
My primary "target" guns are all Browning Citori XS Skeet models...and my primary 12ga is about 13 yrs old now ...and its got about 400,000 shells thru it ...( I only shoot about 7,500 a yr now - and not too muich 12ga anymore )..../ I have and still occasionally hunt upland birds with the...
Craig is right ....about handling ...and ideally shooting a variety of these guns before you make your decision !
There is a huge variety in how the grips feel in a showroom vs on the range as you fire 4 or 5 rounds...
I don't like the birdshead grips either....they get away from me too ...mostly because I have pretty big hands..( gun rolls out of my grip / and its too short )...
...so I went to a Freedom Arms large frame model 83.....for my introduction into the single action revolver world, and I've been...
Chris, --- sorry for your loss...but I think a gun in a style that your dad liked is a neat idea....
but with big hands....I don't think you're going to like the way the birdshead gun grip feels in your hands. I also don't think you're going to like the "shortness" of the grips on the...
Big gunshow in my area yesterday ....and S&W revolvers were up in price at least 25% ...over what I thought was the expected price range.
This "buying frenzy" is affecting everything....even revolvers and a variety of handgun ammo ( with 9mm 115gr - FMJ range ammo at $ 20 - $24 for a box of...
Sure - we understand....
I'm a 1911 guy too ....so 8 + 1 just makes sense to me too .....
But its easy to adapt to a 6 shot revolver.../ at least for me ...when I choose to carry a K frame ( in a 4" like a model 19 or 66 )...in .357 mag. I don't even carry a speed loader..../ if 6...
There were a number of bobbed hammer models produced by S&W ...as specials under some product codes - per the S&W 3rd edition book...mostly 2" but one is mentioned in a 3" barrel as well .....
with bobbed hammers there were about 660 made in 1986 - and about 6,000 of them in 1989 ...
There are pros and cons to moon clips..../ pros are they're faster to reload...cons are if anything is off a little ...it'll jam big time...
are they worth fussing with ...you have to decide / in my opinion, they're a pain in the butt.
Timing on these 8 shot revolvers is more critical -...
I would leave it alone as well..../ with rare exceptions, most of the trigger pulls on the S&W revolvers are awful good....now maybe yours needs some internal cleaning ..and a little bit of lube...and then re-evaluate.
but, if you really think you can't live with it ...then about the only...
If you're looking for a semi-auto .....look at the gas sytem guns....Beretta, Browning Gold or Silver series ...for the most affordable options and good solid guns. They probably make 60 or more models between them...so you have a lot to choose from - to fit your needs and budget.
If you...
Talk to the owner of the local shop where you want to buy the Glock ...and make the best deal you can.
I don't suggest fooling around with the gun broker websites...for a one time sale.
If the local dealer won't give you what you think is a fair deal....then try to sell the gun you have...
Like Craig told you ......

Good - the guys at Wilson will take care of it - and quickly !
I broke an extractor on one of my wilsons a few months ago ...shipped it to them, got it back in less than 10 days. Great service ...and great guns !
For the .44 mag...I load a Montana Gold bullet 240gr JSP ...and I've been using Hodgdon TiteGroup in that case....but I've also tested some Hodgdon Universal ...and both have worked real well.
I'd have to check my reloading logs ...but with TiteGroup that bullet has a range of 9.0 - 10.0gr...
