I've never been much for the AK's and their variants but figure everyone ought to have a 7.62X39. How does a new in the box MAK 90 from a private party for $300 sound? Are these accurate enough to be more than a plinker?
Thanks Melvin
Thanks
Thanks for the replies, the serious and------well I guess the others were serious too. My only thought while watching the shooting of this oddity was Why????
Thanks again Melvin
Don't know whether to post this in revolvers or semi-autos. Saw an Italian made semi-auto revolver at the range today Ma-Te-Va or similar, not sure of the spelling, strangest thing, barrel was aligned with the cylinder at 6:00 rather than 12:00 and first shot was by cocking the hammer as with any...
Can a 1911 style pistol in .38 super be converted to standard 9 MM ?
I realize that a new barrel and probably recoil springs would be needed. The cartridge dimensions seem very close except for length and rim diameter.
Thanks Melvin
Whats the best lube for screw in choke tubes? I noticed Remington packaging a bottle of Rem-Oil with their extra choke tubes,I always was under the impression that they should be lubed with a grease of some sort.
Thanks Melvin:confused:
I've had one for several years now, don't shoot it as much as my Model 17's but I really like it . It's never given me any problems at all. The 2206 is all stainless so it tends to be a little heavier than the alloy framed ones. If I can find a 4"er to go with my 6" I will snap it up also. I...
Gentlemen:
Thanks for the intelligent replies. I was beginning to wonder if I was becoming hyper-critical. I've often felt some of these new items whether firearms or calibers were answers to questions no one had asked.
Thanks again Melvin
Just wondering, can anyone here remember the last time they read a review in one of the more popular gun magazines of a new gun or cartridge,by one of our more well known gunwriters that was bad?
Seems like a long time since I have. How many take these tests with a large grain of salt...
What are the 100 yrd point of impact changes per click on the standard M1 sights? Just got a M1 Danish and haven't got it to the range yet.
Thanks Melvin
Been reading some articles on this rifle. Anyone here own or have fired one? Would like some input from people without a job to preserve like the so called "impartial" gun writers.
Thanks Melvin
Need some advice on correcting a problem. Recently bought a used S&W mod 17 and am having problems ejecting the empty cases. Some brands seem worse than others. Is there such a tool as a burnisher for .22 caliber cylinders that will smooth out rough spots in the chambers without removing much...
I'm looking to buy another 9 MM and have about decided between a Glock and the CZ. The only thing I'm concerned about is reading that Glocks were not recommending handloads. Can anyone shed some light on this subject? Without using handloads my shooting is going to be greatly diminished...
I know that pistol magazines are limited to ten rounds, but are tubular magazines on lever guns under the same resteictions?
Seems as though regardless of barrel length they are all listed as ten capacity?
Thanks Melvin
Would appreciate any and all recommendations for a compact scope for my Bushmaster,it has the removable carry handle so I could go with a flat top or handle mount. I would like to get the best for my $$ without having to mortgage the house.
Thanks Melvin
Has anyone converted a S&W revolver from .22 LR to .22 mag? Seems like it shouldn't be too much of a job, however I had to do a small lathe cut on the extractor star of a S&W 25-2 and had to use a carbide tool bit . The star was either full hard or case hardened.
Thanks Melvin
Had one of the Charco .38 a year or so back and it wasn't worth it's weight in scrap metal. Back to the factory 4 times, finally replaced with another of very maginally better quality. Just gave up. Very poor communications with their service people. I'll never buy an "off brand" again...
Just recently acquired a S&W Model 36,thanks to all who helped on the year of mfg. Had it out to the range today and it's a good shooter, however it's a little nasty on my middle finger with the factory grips, any suggestions? Would prefer something suitable for concealed carry as opposed to...
