Finally found a CZ 75 Stainless

According to buds, yes. But... I've heard of issues with buds having inaccurate info before, so we'll see. I don't really like purchasing sight unseen if I don't have to. Time will tell.

Finally found a CZ 75 Stainless

After nearly 2 months of constant internet searching and calling all local gun shops constantly, tracked one down on Buds. Can't believe how hard these things are to come by lately. Hopefully I'll have it in my hand this time next week, assuming Buds is on their game. Will post pics when it...

    Having trouble finding Savage Rifles?

There's been a lot of this going around. CZ USA told me the other day they're back ordered 3 months. My theory is upcoming elections, just like 4 years ago when you couldn't find an AR or AK for less than a kidney.

    Glock making a 1911!

Should Glock ever make a 1911, I imagine it will be an abomination similar to the link in OP.

    Trouble 'pulling the trigger'

I normally don't comment on such things, but what is so blasphemous about a 300-350 yard shot? That's pretty reasonable with the correct set-up and shooter behind the glass. If you can bust a p dog at 250 you can certainly hit a deer at 300. If you don't feel comfortable with it, by all means...

when does barrell heat begin to affect accuracy?

As said, it depends on the caliber/barrel type/stock. My Tikka T3 lite 25-06 for example, the group would start to open up on my 4th shot when sighting in. To remedy this, I take a .22 with me to shoot in between 3 shot groups. If you have a heavy barrel it will take longer for the barrel to...

    What happened to Colt?

It's ok they don't make them anymore in my eyes, they just keep going up in value. It's like money growing in the gun safe.

I had a good laugh the other day

This is why I get so irritated selling guns in paper ads. I was selling a Nova 12 g a while back (hint, I still am) and a guy called who was very interested. Eventually the guy makes it over to look at it, says he has no cash, but has a broken lawn mower he would be willing to trade. Yeah I bet...

What was the purpose of Fast and Furious?

My understanding, and don't quote me on this, was to release said weapons and track their movement, to see whos hands they fell in to, and at some point they lost track. Thus theory doesn't make sense for a number of reasons. One being, how do you track weapons once they're across the border...

My mom insists on keeping a gun she can't operate.

Something I realized after arguing at length with my girlfriend about my LCP being unsafe because it doesn't have a manual safety... sometimes its best to just let the horse die and move on with your life.

Whats the dumbest gun you love to own?

GSG-5 SD. .22 LR MP5 look-alike. It's a blast to shoot, but its not near as accurate as my dedicated Target and varmint .22s. Questionable durability in the field, and a real pain to detail strip. Also picky with ammo and trigger is unremarkable. But... it looks awesome and unloads 26 rounds in...

    Naming Guns

Funny, a friend of mine has a 45/70 Marlin 1895 guide gun with the ported barrel. I call it "The God of Thunder", or "Thor" for short. It lives up to the title. Conversely I've referred to my SGL-21 as "Heavy Metal" since I got it. For the short time I had a Chiappa 1911-22 I called it a...

My gun blew up what do i do?

This. Count your blessings the cheek rest side of your face is still attached. I think you're right.

The 1911...I just don't get it.

I'm sort of on the fence. My dad was always a 1911 guy, so I eventually bought one. I like it, it's fun to shoot, but I'm not in love with it. I do like the solid heft of an all steel gun, but I found the CZ 75 to be personally superior, albeit a different caliber. I don't know, 1911's are...

First .22 LR auto -- Thoughts? Ruger or Buckmark?

I have a MKIII Hunter and love it. Minus field stripping. It's the most accurate .22 auto I have, very reliable. I've never **** a buckmark pistol, but I do have a buckmark rife that is also very accurate and reliable. I think its a toss up. If you like tinkering, aftermarket for Rugers is huge...

Help... bought Magpul PRS stock but need to change buffer tube?

Don't stress it too much, they're not really that hard. I personally have had springs and detent pins, and various small metal pieces fly all over my house. It's kind of a rite of passage. Buffer tube swap is pretty straight forward though.

    Are you a Range Rat?

No, but I don find it a bit annoying when I'm working on a group for a new load, or sighting in a rifle when chatty Kathy won't leave me alone. Our range is self serve though, so lately I've just started getting there when most guys are still in bed, nice having a whole range to yourself.

Has anyone (or 'why hasn't anyone') applied a Glock or DAO trigger to a long gun?

It's a Russian MTs-255. I don't know if anybody imports them, but they come in all gauges from 12-.410.

Has anyone (or 'why hasn't anyone') applied a Glock or DAO trigger to a long gun?

Maybe that was a tad snarky, I was simply baffled at somebody saying so matter of factly that a safety on a long gun serves no purpose. Those can only be the words of one not properly introduced to, and trained on firearms safety 101. They exist with good reason, and with practice, disengaging a...
