Inline fabrication Lee classic turret case ejector

Back in early 2014, there was a thread started by Celem on the Lee-Loader.com website regarding a video that had appeared on YouTube showing the reverse rotating head and case kicker. https://www.lee-loader.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=331 This was before Inline had theirs on the market. If you...

    NEWBIE... decapping before tumbling

My 2 cents: If you monitor the process, deprime before or after. If you deprime after and forget that the brass is in the tumbler for an extended period, or don't dry it, you run the risk of stuck primers and the bottoms popping off.

LCT + InlineFab 1hr production rate

A couple of years ago, before Inline began selling these kits, I made my own. Total investment was about $20. There is an old thread on Lee-loader.com that shows how to make one. Mine is on page 3. I made two versions, one for everyday reloading and one for case prep. The case prep version has...

556 on Lee Classic Turret Equipment List

I made my reverse rotation index rod long before Inline began selling the package. I find that it allows me to focus a little more on what's happening on the press. It is one less thing to think about in the process. With pistol rounds, just insert brass, pull handle four times and repeat...

556 on Lee Classic Turret Equipment List

Your list looks good. The Trim Pro can be motorized with a small cordless drill. I don't use the auto disk riser on my LCT, but then I don't prime on the press either. My setup uses two turrets, one for case prep and one for loading. The case prep turret has a Lee Universal Decapping die and a...

    Lee Classic Turret Press owners?

The reverse rotation only helps when using a case kicker. All of the case kickers for the LCT before this required inserting the case from the right side of the front post, or reaching over the ram to insert from the left. If feeding from the right, as leftie or a rightie, that would be...

    Lee Classic Turret Press owners?

By using an indexing rod that has the twist in the oposite direction, it causes the rod to turn backwards. You can then install a case kicker on it that will kick the case to the left, but more importantly, it allows you to load the brass from the left side of the press. There are a couple of...

    embarrassing mistake

I usually prep my brass in batches. After the cases are wet tumbled and dried, they go into a gallon ZipLock until it's time to prime them. I have tags so I can document what stage of prep the brass is in. Went to my brass box this weekend to start priming some 9mm. Scooped out about 500 cases...

    Looking for different powder measure

FWIW: I started reloading about 1 1/2 years ago on a LCT with the PAD. Before I started I did a lot of research and saw there were many complaints about leakage. I read a post somewhere about tuning the PAD to minimize this. The process involved wet lapping the disks with ultra-fine grit...

    How's this price?

They have ranges at some of their stores in SC. That may be where they get some of the brass they sell. I've bought from them in the past. Be sure to check for the occasional .380 piece of brass.

What clever little things have you "invented or discovered" that you can share?

I got tired of my fingers cramping up when using my Hornady Primer Pocket Reamer on crimped military brass. I made a wood dowel chambered in 223 to hold the brass. Light side pressure keeps it from spinning while lifting into the reamer on my drill press. Much easier to hold.

    First load work up question...

I use the Pro Auto Disk for production loading. For development, I use a powder trickled and scale. Once I find a charge I like, I sacrifice one of my disks, And tap it for a set screw to make it adjustable to dial into my desired weight.

Sticker Shock! Large Pistol Primers locally

I was able to get an 4# jug of TiteGroup there about 4 months ago when nobody else had pistol powder in stock. $84 or $21/# which seems to be the new going rate for powder these days.

    Lee Classic Turret Press decapping

I agree. On my 9mm turret, I opted for a longer feed tube for the bullet feeder to allow for better focus and inspection during the reloading process.
