Thanks.
He put his first 3 shots in the 4-5" bullseye of a 600 mtr target hung at 25 yds with the 3rd dead center and it was a .50, but may have been downloaded.
I've read about the work required to put a kit together and it appears to be beyond his abilities and something I don't have...
I have a line on this rifle, but I can't figure out exactly what it is. Can you tell me what this is, and what it is worth? The guy selling it said it says "Springfield Armory" and has 1894 on it. This is the only pic I've got right now.
Thanks,
Adon
Unfortunately I work Monday and we are spending Tuesday at the Arlington Sportsman's Club July 4th Celebration.
Bane: There is a Yahoo group that is mostly DFW THR guys (http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/THR_DFW/). I'm trying to talk them into using a new DFW focused forum I got up and...
I'm cheap (just ask my wife) and used guns are a lot cheaper than new guns. I would buy a new gun if it was exactly what I wanted and I couldn't find a 95%+ version of it used, but I'd really have to want it to pay the new price. (FYI: I haven't bought a new gun since the 80's and I had to...
My wife wants a PURPLE AR style rifle for Christmas. (Yes, I know that many of you are now officially jealous and hate me because my wife likes guns. :D)
What would be a good "inexpensive" platform to start with (neither of us have done the AR thing before, but who am I to not buy her a gun...
Thanks guys. I did check with my Dad and he did have it refinished when he was young. He said the original finish was pretty much gone by then anyway. Knowing this, would it reduce the value any more by having it refinished again? The finish is in pretty bad shape, and I'd like to bring it...
I'll start off with this revolver is not for sale, since my Dad bought and shot it when he was young and passed it along to me, but I would like to know what it is worth (give or take a little).
It appears to me to be a Gen 1 Colt Peacemaker.
It is about 10" long from the tip of the barrel...
At the local outdoor range here anything faster than 1 shot every 2 seconds is prohibited as "rapid fire". I guess they are afraid people will go all "commando" or something, but it is a stupid rule in my opinion.
I carry a 1911 cocked & locked in a Milt Sparks VersaMax II. I love the holster, but the tuckable clips are hard to tuck around. For daily tucking I'd recommend something with deeper or more flexible clips. That would make it much easier to tuck the shirt in. In defense of the VMII, the...
I appreciate the info. I figured there probably wasn't an easy/cheap fix, but if you don't ask you don't know.
I have shot them and no, it probably wouldn't actually catch her hair on fire ;) but the flash is substantial and I wouldn't want to have to fire them from a close in position...
My dad gave me a couple of his pistols that he didn't shoot anymore, but both have been ported (he was on a porting spree). I'm wondering if there is a cost effective solution to this other than having the barrels replaced. One is a S&W perfomance center 4" stainless 357 (with way to light a...
My Mom shoots and carries a S&W 1911SC (Scandium frame, commander size). The SC weight difference to her is a big plus, and she doesn't have any problems operating it. Also, you can get slightly lower profile grips for the 1911 if grip size is a problem.
Needing two hands to release the...
There is a little 9mm UC Bersa listed for sale on this forum:

Disclaimer: It is my Mom selling it, but it is a nice little gun that has been shot very little. She likes the gun, but doesn't like DAO. She has moved on to XD's and this one...

I have a older 1980's era J frame stainless S&W 686 in MAG that over spins after 3 or so quick shots (bang-bang-bang-click). Checking after the failure reveals that the cylinder has over spun and is between rounds, so the pin has missed the primer. It is consistent, and doesn't appear to be...
