Wow
A majority of the threads on here are about the how effective a certain gun and load will be against a person. I was talking about shooting a snake???
This is a gun forum. Most of us on here have guns and many people on here actually use them to hunt. Actually use them to hunt game animals down and shoot them. Now imagine if someone did that with snakes as is now being done in the everglades. Now I am not saying I hunt snakes like that but I...
I think I like shooting snakes better than shooting anything else. Poisonous ones anyway.:) Let's have a thread dedicated to pictures of defeated slitherers and the guns that took them down. I enjoyed the snake thread by Penoe Hunter. I will start it off. I killed this one with a bottom feeder...
Wrong
Gloob, cpperheads bite a fair number of people in Alabama every year, mostly ladies working in their flower beds. Killing one down here is really not a big deal. Neither is firing a shot every now and then without hearing protection. Copperheads do have fangs, tiny needle like fangs that...
Great revolvers.
I finally completed my Ruger Six series collection recently by adding a stainless Security Six with a six inch barrel. I have a Police Service Six in blue with a four inch and a stainless speed six with a 2 3/4. Love them all, bought all used in like new condition.
nice
I own five simply rugged holsters and can't say enuff good things about them. My favorite is a sourdough pancake I got for my Ruger Blackhawk. It was when he still made them in brown. It is sharp as a tack and they are all first class leather.
Me too
On my birthday several years ago I bought a .45 Ruger Blackhawk with the 5.5 inch barrel for $200 and I thought I stole it as well. It is my favorite handgun to shoot, but the ammo is expensive. I had a simply rugged holster made for it and it is a good combo.
You do that.
"I'll stick to my XDm thanks"
That there is the essence of ugly. I would not hit a bull in the ass with a Springfield anything but to each his own. "I'll stick with my Glocks, they have run perfectly and I do mean perfectly for almost twenty years for me.
Don't overthink it or complicate it.
Get you a new or used Smith and Wesson with a concealed or shrouded hammer in a lite weight configuration. An SP101 is a fine gun but too big and heavy for ankle or pocket carry. You don't need a .357 for this role. +p .38 is more than you will want to shoot...
That is a sweet one.
I have always been partial to the square butt in the Model 10's myself, don't know why just my preference but that is one sweet pristine model 10 you got yourself there. Enjoy it. I got the fever a couple of years ago and I have a 10-5 tapered barrel, a 10-8 heavy barrel...
When Ruger first introduced the LCR in .38 and .357 I was not impressed. I have since read good things about them but still would not really want one. However when they came out with it in .22 that was enough to peak my interest. I picked one up the other day and the more I shoot it the more I...
