    $600 to spend

Pick up a Glock and use the rest for ammo or reloading components. Or a holster and sights or whatever... Anyway, if you don't own one, the Glock is a fine pistol.

PT1911 needs a real smith for once.

Dude, listen to reason... You bought a cookie cutter "semi-custom" (that's nonsense) Taurus. The money you put into it cannot even be remotely recouped should you want to sell and the pistol isn't worth the work you are going to put in it. Why would you double the price of a low-end 1911...

PT1911 needs a real smith for once.

Sell it and pick up what you want. The PT1911 isn't worth the work.

    1911 People... I need you!

Yeah, they did. I am going to replace the ambi with a RH safety in a short while. Or I will have Springfield do it.

So, grip safety doesn't work. Llama .45

If it is new why don't you try contacting the company? Otherwise just pick up a gunsmiths book on 1911's. They are out there. It's not too bad. You just need the right tools and a book! My guess is that someone stripped it down and didn't put it back together right or disabled it somehow yeah...

    1911 People... I need you!

Everything is original. My hope is that Springfield is going to take a look at this and deal with it. This thing only has 1k rounds through it!

    1911 People... I need you!

This is the way they designed the pistol and I don't have access to a lathe. I just need to know how much this weapon is worth like this and if it is worth it. Thanks.

    1911 People... I need you!

Here's the deal... Check the pictures below and let me know what you think did this, how bad it is, and how much it matters. The link, in the lug, won't seat fully forward (to remove the barrel) without pressing it pretty hard and then it seems to click past all of the marred metal...

Enough about bears, how about cougars?

Cats are THE MOST VISCOUS HUNTERS THERE ARE! And I respect them for that... and fear them. Be careful friend!

    roggio ar-15 lower problem

It has to do with the clearance. I actually dremeled out some of the metal on the inside of the magwell but it is ugly and I wish I hadn't of done it. The metal ones are just fine. Plastic mags lock now, though I have to push pretty hard... but I would have just left it alone and should have...

    roggio ar-15 lower problem

My AR has a Roggio receiver and I have issues with plastic mags. They won't lock in. I have to use military aluminum mags. Is that an issue to me? No. Might be to you. Might want to ask them to open up the magwell while they have it.

Sighting in my AR and ran into some trouble (iron sights)

Alright, I have the solution. For anyone who experiences this issue all you have to do is grind down the SIGHT POST until it is the right height to make the correct adjustments. It's genius! Thank you Joey!

Sighting in my AR and ran into some trouble (iron sights)

The sight was intended for an AR15. It is a gasblock mounted sight. It didn't say anything about a low-pro gasblock. yeah it's railed. I guess I just need to try a different front sight. What I am looking for are recommendations. I have a dpms lo-pro bull barrel upper... gas block mounted...
