Finally getting around to (thinking about) developing a 10mm Subsonic load for my CMMG Banshee and possibly be used interchangeably with my Glocks (20 and 40) Up to now, all my 10mm loads have been....well..... Supersonic by a Long shot, pun intended. I have one main question.

Are the 220gr bullets worth it (see some from Xtreme) or are 200gr. fine? I don't see downloading to make 180gr bullets Subsonic even worth while, or possibly difficult to even do in 10mm without going below published minimums.

My concern with 220gr bullets would be, well lack of bullet stability and possibly yawing/keyholing....a definite "cannot happen"

I have a slough of pistol powders, name it I likely have it or something similar.

Thank you!

I have had good luck with:
SNS 220gr coated TCFP
Alliant Sport Pistol
Starline and Federal cases
CCI LP primers

My loading (yes, it is published data before you police types chime in) chrono's @ 940 and no evidence of yawing/keyholing.

These are run in an 8" barreled CMMG Banshee with a SiCo Octane 45.

I did attempt to try 180 grainers w/ AA#9 with some success, but found the heavier bullet with a faster powder better.......IMO

Talk about FUN......!!!!! :p

EDITED: changed the chrono reading from 1040 to 940 fps.......................😬 my bad......

Well, wound up not bothering with heavier bullets and just loaded up some 180 grainers (which I have a bunch of) and worked to just north of the published starting loads using WIN-231. Action cycles, and theyre very accurate. And quiet. They're right around 980 fps. I'm right in 40 s&w territory with 10mm, but don't really care, I'm just plinking with this thing at the range anyways. Lots of fun.
