158 grain Fiocchi 9MM - Better hand loads???

Currently i am running an olympic arms glock 9mm carbine. No complaints here. Like it so well that i am planning a new build on a lone wolf receiver.
It is nice having only one mag/ammo type to carry. This carbine has been successfully tested to 450. I myself can only verify 330 on white box winchester and 132gr lead reloads.
My carbine even feeds from my G26 mags!

What brought to mind the Lone Wolf; do you have any opinion/experience/knowledge on their carbine platform? Just curious.....
It was also interesting that you transitioned from 10MM to the nines; I felt that way from the beginning.

10mm is superior to ANY auto cartridge. Too bad the powers that be dont know this.
9mm is more than adequate, cheap, and once available. So commonality in Type is important to me. My side arm is G17. In 2010 the Oly gun was revolutionary to me. Today we have several choices.
I chose lonewolf because i like the ejector alot better that the Oly one. (The Oly had never failed or broken).
There are detractors. These are the same guys that have no experience with the caliber or platform.

I'm in the process of working up some 147g and 158g loads for carbine; VV 3N37 seems to be working well. Thinking about the N340 as another possibility.
So commonality in Type is important to me.
I agree. Once dialed in, I'm going to run some through my 995TS.

Carbine update

Range session on Friday with the 147g 9MM loads worked out fairly well.

< VV-3N37 ~ 147g Range Report >

Loaded 100 today with the following concoction:

Used the new Gem 20 to verify powder charges from the Lee Auto-Disk.

The folks that purchased the Gem-20 already know that the pan that comes with the kit is far too small to be useable. I added a golf ferrule to the underside of my larger pan with a bit of double-sided tape.
Works great :)

158g work-up next week for the carbine

My carbine has launched 115gr winchester q loads very successfully at 330yds.
My limiting factor was the retical in my eotech would not allow any more hold over.

What kind of drop were you getting with those loadings?
124gr@2400fps 7.62x39mm has a drop of about two feet at 300m, I can't imagine that a 9x19mm would be less than that in most cases.

Finally found the time to load some 158g cartridges for the carbine :) Fiocchi in top rows of loading tray.

Since the subject is a comparison of Fiocchi 158g (subsonic) to hand-loads, this test was 10 rounds of factory Fiocchi out to 25 yards from the 995TS w/ red-dot (as I can't see the target clearly).

The factory ammo performed much better in the carbine than my G19.

Next up was 10 of the Berry's FP plated; not so great out of the 995TS.

The PRVI Partizan SJHP Serbian bullets performed surprisingly well :D

Note: Upon inspection of the spent brass, minor primer flattening and slight case bulging occurred. There is a charge reduction needed from the 4.4g of VV-3N37 used for the hand-loads.

Please be careful if you try the 158-grainers yourself :scrutiny: Additional NAMMO info to follow.
