I plan on loading some plated 200gr SWC while I load some 200gr LSWC (Penn).

I am aware that the plated need to be loaded different then FMJ and LSWC. Where should I look at starting a load and the max ( generally) if say I am using

Win WST: w/ 1.25 OAL
Win 231: w/ 1.25 OAL

Thanks

Well, you could go to Berry's website and read the FAQ's about Berry bullets.
http://www.berrysmfg.com/faq.aspx?n=40816

One of them says:
Plated bullets occupy a position between cast bullets and jacketed bullets. They are soft lead, but have a hard outer shell on them. When loading plated bullets we have found best results using low- to mid-range jacketed data in the load manual. You must use data for a bullet that has the same weight and profile as the one you are loading. Do not exceed mid-range loads. Do not use magnum loads.

I have loaded thousands of Berry's 200gr plated with zero issues. MY LOADS, not necessarly for anyone else, are 5.6-5.9gr. 231 under the 200 gr FP Berrys with a light taper crimp. These shoot very well in MY 1911's, Springfield XDm, and my 625JM revolver. Your mileage may vary. Check your reloading manual before you start. Alos drop them in your barrel for a good OAL for your round in your gun.
