dBA - $475 is a fair price for one in good condition. A 4" pre-lock can be round butt or square; 1994 was the change-over year I think. If it's an older one with the walnut target grips it's an even more attractive deal. If you have any desire to 'scope it, a -4 or -5 is what you want (pre-drilled and tapped). I am a 686 fan - they are great guns. I like shooting 357 in them more than in N frames, but I think I'm a minority in that regard.
