A Little Help for a Little Revolver

I agree with the compact revolver recommendations. I would say that there is no need for any alloy, air weights or lite weights. A good steel frame revolver will be easier to shoot. If recoil is still an issue you can adjust that with ammo choices, standard pressure, lighter bullets down to target loads. I taught my wife, daughter and son with my 640 Centenial using generic 158 RNL which is loaded soft by most makers, same for the 130 FMJ. Recoil is felt but it is soft. If that is the highest level or recoil one can handle than it sure beats a .22. Rounds like Federal Personal Defense 110 grain standard pressure rounds add expansion to the equation and are still soft shooters. I carry the Federal 135 Grain XTP Short Barrel +P. That can bring on fatigue towards the end of the box. Good luck, there are good guns out there in that category, just don’t go too light. I can shoot an air weight but it can sure turn new shooters off in a hurry.
