Excellent, my friend~! Smith auto's are fasinating; especailly the
original model 39, and 39-2.

Not bad, as a child, I can remember seeing one on a S&W poster and thinking I wanted one when I grew up! I thought the fairly small size and fairly high capacity was really neat especially as a factory gun.

Of course when I was a child, I also thought 38spl J frames were wimpy and that the other guns I just had to have were a S&W mod 29 with the 8 3/8" barrel and a NAA or FA mini revolver!

I think the movie Bird on a Wire with Kurt Russell features your gun on the movie cover.

I don't see these guns for sale often in my area and they seem to get high asking prices for some reason.
