Got a sales flier a couple of days back from Gander Mountain. The Butler Creek clear or smoke-tinted 25 round mags for the popular Ruger 10/22 are on sale for $17, and the 50-round mags from another company (Outer's maybe?) are $24.

So I now have 3 of the smoke-tinted BC's....The plastic "Hot Lips" version. My local GM had about 100 of the 25-rounders on the pegboard last night. When i have some extra cash on hand, I'm going to buy one of the "Hot Lips speedloaders".

I've been considering some of those for some time, but I'm concerned about the plastic feed lips. How do they hold up?

The steel lip haven't come down as much, and I don't know if they're worth the extra.

Havent had a problem with the 25-round Butler Creek mag that I got a few months ago.

A speedloader is on my list to buy. Those things are a pain to load by hand

Anyone here have experience with the speed loader?

Yes, the Butler Creek hot lips mags and their speedloader worked well together for me.

I have really good luck with the BC mags...

I also have not had a problem with the Ram-Line brand either..

25 or 30 rnds..

The speedloader is a time saver for sure.. :)

Have not tried the Eagle brand for the 10/22..

I have 2 or 3 Eag;e brand mags for the 10-22...Gonna get me several more, but will prolly get the "Steel lips" kind this time..

Anyone know if they are producing a 100 round drum for the 10-22 yet?? Bud of mine wants to know...
