AK Blank Adapter

I purchased one of the Blank adapters for my AK's so I could let my grand children shoot with out the serious recoil and ease them into shooting. Ordered 7x39 blanks, I intended to order 100 but wound up with 1000. Tried them out this morning in my Draco and these blanks are very very loud, but it didn't cycle which is what I thought the adapter would allow. No felt recoil so was wondering if the adapter might work better on longer barrel of my AK than on the Draco.

Ease the grandkids into shooting with a .22 rifle that fits them.

Actually hitting a reactive target like a clay pigeon, charcoal briquette, or empty soda can full of water is way more fun for a kid then just making a lot of noise with ear damaging military blanks.

I doubt the blank adaptor will work on less then a full length AK that it was designed for.

thanks for input, I thought that it might need a longer barrel to work proper. I was just to lazy to carry the AK outside. Teaching my grand kids to shoot, they have already fire tons of rounds from a 22 and very accurate to boot. Just wanted them to experience the noise of a large caliber round.
