AK conversion for Mini 14 mags

I know I can't be the first person to ever think of using Mini 14 mags in a 556 AK. Has anyone ever tried this conversion with any success? What if any is the difficulties with doing this type of modification? I would prefer not to have to modify the Mini 14 mags so I can still use them in my Mini 14, I would rather modify my AK. Any help will be appreciated.

You are alone, my friend. Just get Galil magazines or AR-AK adaptor.

A lot of people have enough problems simply making aftermarket Mini-14 magazines work in their Mini-14's, let alone in another firearm entirely.

The other part is that in recent times, 5.56 AK magazines seem to be readily available.

Not after market mags, original ruger 20 rounders. I have about 30 of them that I use with my FA. Plus Ruger has started selling them to the public again. I do agree the aftermarket mags are worthless.

I'm guessing you are alone. It makes much much more sense to simply use existing mags or if one is set on switching to go with a renegade buck AR adapter (MSA is best avoided in my book, I ordered an adapter, never got it and had to file a fraud claim to get my money back)
