A gun owner is a potential mass murderer as much as a match owner is a potential arsonist.
she turned out to be quite an uneducated peice of work. she was stopped of course before she could do it. but kept trying to get it. the facial expression on my friends face was classic. but eventually she stopped and we tried to explain to her why concealed carry is actually a good thing.

Tell him that someone threatened to Beat you death and ask him to come home with you and help protect you from the guy. People like that like to spout something they've heard.....think it makes them sound enlightened. If all gun owners were mass murderers there would be millions killed in one uproarious outburst, then the world would be left to the sheeple and the wolves. Happy trails.

Yeah we may have a lot of liberals and fruitcakes here. Most of them are here because they missed their exit on I-5 and were too stupid to turn around and find their way back to California.
But Washington was one of the first shall issue states and the pro-gun climate was one of the main reasons I moved here.
Now if only full-auto could become legal here so we could become the west coast Knob Creek.

I was going to do the:
"If you had a gun and a cell phone on the night stand, and someone broke in, trying to kill your gf/wife, which would you pick up?"
But I didn't, seeing he has a rediculous fear of an inanimate object..
He would have picked up the cell phone, had his gf/wife killed, and then BLAMED the government for not doing more about crime.
Nope, I'm still here in Taiwan. I really miss my guns though My 3" knife is really not compensating for it. (Strange, guns are illegal here, but I can carry an 8" knife on me if I want to...)
My co-worker is from Seattle... and is thinking about moving to San Diego, where the PRK laws are a bit more to his liking..

I have noted, while most will show great distrust or hate for the members of the opposite party, the Democrats seem to show fierce hatred bordering violence...
If you ask me.. I think non-gun owners are more violent then gun owners...

You are on the right track.
While we gun owners are always glad to see more people responsibly owning and using firearms, we don't try to insist that everyone own a gun.
And those of us who carry on a regular basis usually don't try to force everyone else to carry also.
The anti-gun zealots, on the other hand, ARE actively trying to force their view down everyone elses throats.
I see no difference between the irrational, fanatical actions of the anti-gunners and the Jihad. Both are trying to force their point of view on others. Both are trying to get the rest of the world to think and act like them.

Of course, a lot of people in their 20s (and even 30s) need to have this explained to them, which greatly reduces it's intended effect.

I only use a firarm to kill in the most extreme of circumstances...too loud.
