Thanks for the idea of a set screw. That should work great, and I have both a drill press and tap set.

I had previously tried peening the base of the pin to make it fit tighter, with no success. I mitigated the problem by staking the back of the hole, so it can't recess so far as to be ineffective.

Finding an adhesive that functions at mold operating temp is a challenge.

Not sure why a set screw didn't occur to me, but that is the ticket.
