ok so my mom's always been really caring and supportive over the years and I thought "well I dont know s**t about flowers and unicorns and other girly crap so why not get her a gun?
she expressed interest in my shorty bushmaster M4gery last time we went shooting so I thought I might throw together another one using some of my parts from previous experiments
here's the ideal
features
"16 barrel (for light weight and small size)
collapsable stock (for adjustability since she has short arms)
A2 sights (easy for her to zero in)
.223 or .22 LR . She didn't seem to have any trouble with the .233 round as far as recoil but considered .22 LR because she has a lot of .22 ammo for her walther p22 pistol. Then again, maybe it's time to move up.
here's what i've found so far. tell me what you guys think
galati XM-177 upper
$329.95
-cheap short and light.
Tapco T6 synthetic collapsible stock
$59.99
-light and adjustable
Sarco stag arms"loaded" receiver with all internals/ hinge pins
$129.95
-the last stag arms receiver I built worked so great, I'd like to put another one together. not as tight as my bushmaster receiver but still good for the money.
grips and other parts I already have in my parts cache.
how does this sound?
$519.89 + shipping
