Just wondering if anyone bought their significant other a firearm for Valentine's day? My wife is a jewelry nut, so if I bought her a gun she would say I bought it for myself. Damn, she's smart.

Yes, it is the thought...maybe take a loved one to the range and let them shoot one of your prize possessions. Not the same as buying them their own but a very nice gesture.f4t9r said:Not on this budget
Sure would have liked to do something like a Lady Smith
Oh well its the thought that counts

I havent given it to her yet. I bought myself a XD45 but she wont know that untill after I give her hers BUT I think all fo that is gonna be over shadowed byt the fact that Im proposing to her tonite! I didnt think the ring would be in yet for V-Day so I picked her up the Ladysmith(which she wanted anyway) so she gets both! Wish me luck tonite! I know she is gonna say yes but Im still really nervous! lol

In this box I give you life -
Your own to keep and live.
In this box I give you death -
Death to those who would slay you -
Death to hold in your gentle hand.
In this box, power lies -
The power to keep your life for your own,
To stay with me, not die and leave.
To live with me in our sweet love,
To love with me in this sweet life,
Not flee with me to death,
Or lose what makes life sweet.
To earn your keep and spend it.
To rest here in your home.
To know the value of your life,
And worship every breath,
Not kneel and pray to death.
The choice to live weighs more by far
Than this small box I give -
A choice that's Your's to make, my Love.
You're wise enough to make it, for
Gentleness tempers your wrath.
I love you and I give this tool,
And know you'll choose to live.
My Brother wrote this several years when he gave my SIL a Colt 380 for Valentine's Day.
It's all about give and take.silverlance said:because she is insisting that i take her to tiffany's. last time we went on her birthday i came out $600 lighter and her about 1/8th ounce heavier (eliza peretti heart necklace)
