Hey guys,

I currently live in NY and am looking to move to one of the states mentioned in the subject line. I recently graduated with an MBA degree in supply chain management from Clarkson University. Basically I am trying to find employment in a place where my girlfriend and I can eventually buy land. I am looking for a place where I can buy a good chunk of land (500-1,500 acres) but still be within driving distance of a good size town so that my girlfriend could open up a Physical Therapy center.

To give an Idea of where I have been looking: Belfast and Bangor ME, North fork, Big Sky and Helena MT. I am just curious where some of you live and if you could perhaps broaden my search ( I need 4 seasons).

Please let me know what you guys think.

In short does anyone know of a job opening for me in any of these areas?

Thanks
Russ

Anything... working for a gun company would be great, however I don't know how many Gun related Jobs would be.

I am just looking for a well paying job in an area I could eventually move to.

Masters in Business Admin. degrees are applicable for pretty much anything (supervisory, administrative, banking, consulting, ect.)

Please don't delete this, I had no Idea where to put this kind of post!

I am currently living in NY and want to live in a more free state!

Gun related? = There isn't really any place on this forum intended for non-gun related stuff.

Good luck finding something, anyway.

There are lots of other gunboards with general discussion sections.

Stover954rr-

I live just south of Bangor ME. I don't want to burst your bubble but in the Belfast and Bangor areas 500-1500 acres of land is going to be tough to find. And if you do find it then be prepared to pay big bucks for it!

Having said that I can give you a a couple of ideas for places to submit your resume.

1. Lonza in Rockland. Close to Belfast. HUGE worldwide company, and I have a very good friend who is a process engineer there.

2. GE Power Generation in Bangor. I have no contacts there but the word on the street is they have secured a huge contract and are going to be hiring a good sized bunch of people soon.

3. Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor. Massive mouse breeding facility. They are constantly hiring. My brother-in-law works there and can get me the inside track on what positions are open. They are constantly hiring.

These are three big ones I can think of right off the top of my head. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions, or just keep it going here.

Just steer clean of Mass. , Peoples Republic of New Jersey, The empire of New York, Peoples Republic of CA, and your fine. You can look other places too such as Missouri. I have family who live in Centrali a town of 5,000 people and the farmers let you shoot and hunt on thier land. The farmers probably see it as the less rabbits and squirells the safer the crops. Its just out side of Columbia, Missouri which has plenty of jobs and a USDA head quarters. Missouri also accepts any states concealed carry permit and makes it impossible for the government to take away hunting land or declare parks gun free zones without providing new lands to hunters.

Exposure I sent you a pm!

Nomad - I need a nice harsh winter :)

Coyote- I know it isn't completely gun related, however I didn't know where else to put it!
