oh yeah, unless you go with colt, or a hi end type ar, none will keep their value, and colt will be the only one that will go up in value.

ammo worth another 60

minus the $8000 in medical bills from shooting someone else's reloads, puts it at roughly -$7940 :)

eveything sounds good to me except for the olympic arms part.

i would agree with dont tread on me here and say go with a bushmaster, or at least a dpms.

both are well respected ar platforms.

olympic,,,,not so much.

i think olympic used castings for their uppers and this is not good in my opinion.

i think dpms uses forgings
i know bushmaster does.

I don't buy anything sight unseen so i wouldn't feel right advising you on this but I don't think I'd buy it because it isn't something i want.

Thanks guys! I needed talked out of this one.
It actually had some cool work done on it, but I just don't see myself being too amazingly in love with it.
I'll hold off until I can just get a bushmaster or dpms

carry handle is one piece with the upper -- that's a deal breaker right there for me, because it limits the flexibility of sight/optics options.
yup. but if you are mechanically inclined you can build one. i got my upper(fully assembled) for 575 delivered from del-ton. thats after upgrading to an a3 upper with detachable carry handle and ergo grip. the kit also comes with all the parts needed to complete a lower. with lowers going for around 120 you got a rilfe that fits YOUR specs. and wont break the bank. i will let you know how thhe quality of their parts are after about 1000 rds. to be honest im amazed noone has said this yet and if you need more info go to the ar section or go to ar15.com (sorry thr) and theres tons of info like how to assemble a lower (where i got the directions so that i wouldnt mess it up)

BTW they are back oredered (due to the volume of orders-tax refund time) but have GREAT customer service. i asked to have payment taken out immediatly and they then began to process it earlier than expected.
