Are the Kimber replacement sights Bo-mar?

Pretty sure the cuts are different. I have seen novak cut, kimber cut, and bomar cut... Try PMing 1911Tuner, he knows his stuff.

http://www.bo-mar.com/kevi_003.htm Are you sure Bo-mar is out of business? My Kimber custom had a factory adjustable rear sight. I changed it out with a bomar that is made especially for the kimber cut. This pic is a kimber cut bo-mar. Here's a Champion sight that will fit: http://www.theshootersbox.com/store...d=1098&zenid=3d141ac26efd28f9028ddd4d4256dee3 Mark

Man, the Champion sure looks like the Bomar. I'm sure it is more repeatable than my factory sights, as the factory sights don't have the clicking "notches" that the Bomar style sights do. I'm pretty sure Bomar is out of business, for now at least.

I think they left a part or two out of yours. Both of mine do, one from '99 and one from '02 or '03.

Bomar made a sight for the Kimber cut. There was a "-K" at the end of the model number for these.

I replaced a Kimber factory adjustable with a Bomar on my Stainless Target II. The Bomar click is much more positive than the Kimber click. Be aware that if you find a Bomar for the Kimber cut, the blade is higher. You may need a taller front sight to get the benefit of the adjustment range on the Bomar.

I also like the sight picture I get with the Bomar much better than the Kimber factory sight..........but I have old eyes. ;)

It appears that somebody is still making that sight and putting different company's names on it.
