Even if he wasn't one of the people shooting cans between takes (or whatever they were doing), it's almost impossible for him not to know. Shooting guns isn't exactly a quiet endeavor.
The article you posted is from Oct of 2021

The latest news is: Contrary to widespread online gossip, investigators found no evidence that other crew members were taking the prop weapons on Rust and loading them with real bullets for target practice on the desert set.

True, but it’s pretty obvious to me that’s not JeffG had in mind… he had in mind a jury.
Guilt or innocence is determined in the criminal justice system by jury trials, bench trials, and plea agreements. All are equally valid.

Baldwin may not want a jury trial, and he may accept a plea.

I don’t know that Baldwin’s ego will allow him not to perform in front of an audience (jury) regardless of what his lawyer advises. He’s a lot like a certain person he frequently portrays in that regard.

I doubt that his attorney will put him in the stand.

But they let him do that TV interview- not wise. Myself I think he will plead guilty to the lesser of the two charges and receive a suspended sentence with probation- but you never know when egos are large.

The leaders of an organization set the tone, and make sure those responsible are doing the job correctly, and support them to do the job correctly. You cannot blame the low level people, such as the Armorer, if management allows a chaotic workplace where the rule is, get er done now!

I offer as a typical example, the Deep Water Horizon blowup in the Gulf of Mexico. Safety devices that were known to be out of order. On the fly decisions by uninformed individuals, literally the rig was falling apart. Get enough risk out there and something goes kaboom.

The mechanic does not run the airline. When no one is responsible, they will be using chickenwire to screen your remains from the everglades muck

I saw on the news, a barge, a hose, chicken wire, and workers sifting through the muck left on the chicken wire, looking for aircraft debris, and people parts.

First prize, one free ticket on ValueJet, second prize, two free tickets on ValueJet.

Low Level, will disagree, the Armorer is like a RO at the range. And should have the ability to say STOP, or I’m leaving with my guns. Armorer have 1 main Job, Keeping the Guns from hurting people. They should have the philosophy of, I’m handing a Gun to a toddler

When someone hands you a firearm do you check it or just "assume".? He pointed the gun at her, cocked it, and pulled the trigger. The blame rests on him for his actions.

When you're an actor, who isn't a gun person, who probably has no clue about gun safety, and you are on set with a paid armorer who's responsibility is to hand you the firearm in a safe condition, I as a juror would have no issue saying he is not guilty of manslaughter and would instead assign blame to the armorer. If the script required pointing a live firearm at someone there should have been redundant checks in place to make sure that there was no live ammo on set and that the gun was checked every time prior to being given to the actor and those checks should be the responsibility of a safety officer. The only way I would hold Baldwin accountable is if he is the one who loaded the gun with live ammo himself or if there were safety protocols that involved him that he failed to do.

I say this as someone who hasn't followed the case closely and isn't privy to the details of the investigation. My opinion could change if further details came out.

Vicarious Liability will take a bite out of ol’ Alec.

Whether he or Hanna Gutierrez Reed sees the inside of a jail cell remains to be seen. (Very, very difficult to convict the rich, the famous and/or the powerful. Schmoes like us don’t get the same breaks.)

Stay safe.

everybody knows “Better Call Saul” Hollywood has their own version (s) of these firms. Alec won’t see a day in jail.

Random speculation, postulating, and "opinionating" will all be overcome by the testimony and the jury's decision.

No point in blowing more smoke while we wait for the case.

We'll revisit when there's more fact than friction.
