BAR Goes Tactical

Anyway, if they come out with a 223 version, would there even be a reason to mess with mini-14's anymore

For it's intended role there's no use for .223, I'd really be shocked if they built it in anything but .308 for a very long time.

You know, when I opened this thread I thought to myself "I hope someone can find away to go from a tactical BAR to bashing the mini-14, I really do." Do some of you just sit there and try and think of how to link any thread to a chance to bash a gun you don't like?

Anyway, it seems interesting. I'm curious to see how it looks.

Hmmm...interesting. Looks like they're throwing down to DPMS and their LR-308.

I'd be more interested in a version with a non-pistol-gripped stock, personally. I'd like to see a long-action in .300 Win Mag, also.

I also wonder what mags it takes. I wonder if they're SR-25 mags like the DPMS, or if they're (maybe?) SCAR-Heavy mags.

Depending on the price, one of these might be in my future...

So, when is this bad boy coming out? I have a BAR Mk II Safari in 7mm Mag... it is a sweet shooting rifle, and with the BOSS system extremely accurate (but LOUD!!!). The ONLY downsides to system is the limited capacity of that system (3 rds) and the trigger that is decent, but not great. The combo of a gas operated semi-auto and the BOSS make it a soft shooter.

I have often thought one of the Stalkers in 308 would make a great scout type rifle... Would seriously look at picking one up if it carried more than 4 rds in 308.

Speaking of FN products, when is the FNP 45 to hit the streets.. or has it already?

Anyone own an R1? Sorry about highjacking the thread...
