beretta 92fs compact adjustable sights

bought a new beretta 92fs compact a couple of weeks ago because i felt the need for a metal frame, exposed hammer carry pistol. swapped out the plastic grips for factory wood with bronze medallions. today i installed a factory adjustable combat rear sight--a real jewel of machining and finish for under 60 dollars. thing is it's much higher than the original fixed sight. anybody have experience with this set-up? my opportunites to get to the range are very limited

thanx shipwreck. found a couple three guys say factory fixed sights shot low and didn't complain adjustable shot high. maybe it'll work out.
