Hi all. Just requesting some help with my 92FS' sights. I'm used to the regular screw for windage adjustment on my Star 30M and this rear sight got me thinking how to adjust it (if necessary) since I'm planning to hit the range in a couple of hours to do some 25 meters target shooting and see if there's need to adjust anything. I'll be shooting different ammo, including my own reloads and running them through the chrono, to see velocities and where the shots get with different bullet weights and velocities.

As far as I know, these are "combat" sights. I know they can be adjusted but I'm wondering... how?. I see a small hole on the side of the rear sight that makes me think some kind of tool is needed. I looked on it with a magnifying glass and saw no screw.

This pistol is issued and whenever I've had to qualify with it, she's been doing well, which makes me think it won't need adjustment, but I just wanna make sure. BTW, I did check the manual. Both the Spanish version we get with the pistol and the one in English that's available for download, and found info on how to install and adjust the adjustable rear sight, but not this particular one.

Inputs appreciated.

You have to " drift" them with a hammer & punch - I think there is a special tool that can be used to avoid scarring the finish when moving the rear sight. Mine did not need any adjustment.

Right. That was pretty much what I was thinking, that there was no way other than using punch and hammer. Bad for Beretta :(. My 30M is a 30+year old design and it already has a windage adjustment screw. Sometimes, modern doesn't necessarily mean better.

Back from the range now. The Beretta did not require any adjustment. The few shots that got out of the black inner circle of my target (shooting at 25m-82 ft) did so because the shooter (me) was dealing with a trigger set at 5.5 lbs in single action. My reloads turned out to be as accurate as the factory (NATO) ammo I was shooting, though much more pleasant to shoot. Difference is that those old Santa Bárbara NATO spec rounds chronoed at nearly 1200 fps with a 115 FMJ bullet, and my reloads chrono at 1060 fps with a 125 grain copper plated.

The 30M did require some adjustment in windage, to the left to be precise. The trigger is set to some 3'1 lbs, a joy to shoot.

I could call it day . The good news is that I'm shooting more tomorrow, but at the IPSC range :D.
