I'm lucky, I still have some old W-231 (Old 3 lb metal cans), an old metal 5 Lb can of 700X, and I had just ordered a 4 pounder of N310, N320, & N340 before this current drought started, not to mention most of a four pounder of Competition (Near sister to WST), bought it the last drought when WST was unobtainable. Oh, and a new one pounder of WST.

45-230gr LRN with 5 gr BE works for me. Also, 45-185JHP with 6.2AA2 works well for me too. I'm not sure of the distance but here's a photo of my revolver at the same range.

I use one of these three, Titegroup, HP-38, or CFE Pistol on all gr weights in .45auto.
It's just because I already had the for use in other loads & calibers.

HP38/W231 are my first choice for every thing but MAX loads.
4.7-5gr behind a 230gr bullet makes a nice plinking/practice round, 5gr was a hair more accurate for me but of course 4.7 was softer.
N320 works very well as does AA#2.

If I was trying to load .45 to be all it could be I would lean towards CFE-P or Longshot. (don't load much .45 at MAX)
