Just wanted everyone to know that I got the ammo I ordered from MidwayUsa yesterday. Went out today and shot 68 rounds of it today without a hitch.

The G19 loved it.

Grouped well, recoil was mild and fed flawlessly.

For those of you wondering why I posted this, its cause I have been shopping around for another type of carry ammo besides my current or should I say previous carry ammo which was Federal Hydrashock 124 gr +P+.

The Black Hills is loaded with the proven Gold Dot Hollow Point in 124 gr. Muzzle velocity and energy are posted at 1250fps at 430 ft lbs of energy.

Old carry ammo was Federal Hydrashock 124 +P+ pushing 1170 fps at 375 ft lbs of energy.

I plan on ordering more for future range trips.

So for now Im gonna carry the Black Hills not just because it outperfoms the Federal but I am partial to the Gold Dot JHP bullet and its documented performance.

I know the Cor-bon 125 +P is comparable with the Black Hills but once again I am partial to the Gold Dot JHP bullet.

Wish I had a crono to get accurate readings from the G19.

On that note, the quest for the perfect carry munition for my G19 has come to an end. For now anyway.

Now to start on the .40 cal Taurus. Current carry for that is the Speer Gold Dot JHP in 165 gr.

I agree,black hills ammo rocks,i use the 125gr +P 38 special in my 2" M-15
It's very accurate and fast for a 38.

Over the last 8 years or so I've been blowing nickel sized exit wounds in deer and hogs with the Ga Arms version of this load. Works for me. :)

I use Black Hills Ammunition because it is so reliable, esp. their re-manufactured products. Presently I have fired or supervised a little over 790,000 rounds of their ammo. No ammunition problems. I prefer it because I cannot easily afford down time due to ammunition. When a gun does not go bang, I look at the gun first. With the classes I run, I absolutley cannot stop to go get a different brand of ammo.

I like Ranger 127gr +P+ myself. Have you been over the www.ammolab.com for results and stats? Some of the black hills does quite well. Bren
