I Bought my first C&R gun today!!! As is the case with many, I started off small. I already have a Russian Nagant rifle (plain-jane 91/30), I figured I should get a Russian Nagant sidearm as well. I ordered a Nagant M1895 revolver from J&G sales. According to the description, it should come with holster, lanyard, and cleaning tool. I’ve never ordered from J&G before, but heard good things from them during my market research. I paid the extra money to select one with Izhvesk armory marks so it matches my rifle ($10) and also to hand-select for a good bore ($20). I like the idea that they hand select for bore, not just external condition (all the pics I’ve seen online show similar good-quality finish on these guns, I assume because they were re-blued during re-arsenal/storage). I’d rather have a good quality bore with some issues with the (already non-original) finish than vice-versa. I don’t have the gun yet, as soon as I do I will post up some pics for you guys to enjoy. I just needed to brag to some folks who could understand my excitement. Everyone at work gave me blank looks. “So you bought a hundred year old gun?” or my favorite was the guy who told me that if I was looking for a cheap revolver, his buddy had an old beat up Taurus .38 he’d sell to me for “a few hundred” so I didn’t have to buy something so old. They just don’t get it.:confused:

I have three, including one from J&G. Good company to do business with.
Neat little pieces of history.

I also ordered mine form J&G 2 years ago, came fast, complete set as promised. Good shooter.
By the way PSA have now on sell ammo for $19. get while you can usually it is more than $22 cheapest.

pictures?

Just placed the order online, haven't taken receipt of it yet. I will be mailing them a copy of my C&R (they wont acept fax/electronic copies) tonight, and 2 days after they receive that, I should be getting my gun (they send all pistols 2-day as is common practice).

I will post some pics here as soon as it shows up.
