For those thinking about getting into NRA Conventional Pistol competition (Bullseye); there's a 2700 outdoor match this coming Sunday, May 6, at the Dallas Pistol Club in Carrollton. The club is located on Belt Line Road just west of I-35 East. First shot downrange is at 9:00.
For better directions than I can give you, you can contact Buddy Chapman at bchap795@verizon.net.
And you don't have to shoot the entire 2700. If you just have a .22 or centerfire pistol you can just shoot the appropriate 900 match.

That's a pretty good range to shoot on and nice folks. Ought to be a very competitive match.

Isn't the TSRA Bullseye Pistol Championship coming up there in another month or so?

The TSRA State Outdoor Pistol Match is the weekend of June 2-3. Buddy hasn't sent out the program yet but it should be soon. Individual matches are on Saturday; .22 and Centerfire. Sunday is probably the .45 match, team matches, a Pistol Leg Match and an NRA Distinguished Revolver match. I can't remember if we shot all the individual matches on Saturday last year.

This year there should be about 6 junior shooters. Last year we had 19 shooters for the Leg Match. Not as good as Carthage, but close. I think we had about 35 competitors for all the matches.

I've been haunting the CMP site waiting for the Leg scores to be posted for Carthage. :)
