No limit on the number/time period. "Assault pistols" (go read the laws at packing.org to understand that particular label, I've read them several times and am still unsure of certain aspects) are not allowed but we don't have a list like I understand some other states do.

We do still have the 10 round handgun magazine neutering in place, no magazine that will fit in a handgun is allowed to hold more that 10 rounds. This also means our AR's are neutered to 10 rounds since the AR pistol exists (though it apparently falls under the prohibited "assault pistol" label mentioned above). Mini14's are very popular here because of that.

The other oddity is that you can never, ever loan your handgun to another person not on the registration. While most of us would not do so anyway it also means you can not allow your spouse to have access to the firearm if you are not present. If a family wants to only possess one firearm for home security purposes then both the husband and wife need to do all the paperwork and jointly register the firearm. Live-ins need not apply, you have to provide a copy of your marriage license for the joint registration.
