Cannon GunVault

I have a Cannon GunVault, model number GV1000C-STD, that was manufactured in April, 2003. I received it as a gift from my brother. I put it in storage for several years and now have pulled it out. I cannot find my manual and I don't know how to deactivate the sound. I found a manual online but it's instructions were incorrect. I called Cannon's technical support line and was advised that "the old company had gone bankrupt" and they could not help me. Does anyone know where I can find a manual for this GunVault? Thank you.

I have an Pre-Cannon Gunvault as well.

The manual I downloaded from the website a while back (attached), as well as the one that is up there now at this link;

are both wrong for my model too.

They both say;

• To disable the Keypad Sound (beeps),
  1. Press and hold the Learn Button for two seconds, three times. The green light will blink three times and you will hear three beeps. Release the button.
  2. Then press and hold buttons two and three for five seconds. The Keypad Sound is now disabled.
  .

BUT FOR MY MODEL STEP #1 SHOULD SAY;

1) Press and hold the Learn Button for two seconds, SEVEN (7) times. The green light will blink SEVEN (7) times and you will hear SEVEN (7) beeps. Release the button.​

Each Press-Hold-Beep represents a different "Memory Register Location".

Press-Hold once is for the "First Memory Register", where the secret code is stored.

Press-Hold twice for Memory Register #2

Press-Hold three times for Memory Register #3 etc.
