Full size, compact, and sub-compact down to outright micro gun. These are all better than a whole lotta nothin'. But, when I read about what people carry I cannot picture what it is that is going along for the ride. The best example I can give is the listing of S&W model numbers. I only own one S&W and it is aliitle J frame .22 LR. Aside from the actual arms that I have seen or posibly even owned (I own 8 handguns of various makes/ models and they are not popular fare) I have no clue what size you might be packing.

So, to get to the point. What are you carrying and what size is it?

As for me, I carry a Taurus 605 snubby in .357, a S&W 317-2 .22LR snubby for wheelguns and I carry a sub-compact Para-Ord WartHawg 10+1 shot .45 or 9+1 Grendel .380 that I like to call ultra compact.

thanks for your time.

I carry a Kahr p9 most of the time , a pm9 when i need micro size . Not a sales trip for Kahr , but they are the most horsepower for the size i have found that i can afford .

My P3AT is my always pistol, and in cold weather I drop my PT-145 in a coat pocket. I am waiting with much intrest to see what the new Kahr PM45 will be like. Might replace them both...

5" 1911. Was carrying a Wilson Protector until I gave it to my son. Now am carrying a Kimber Custom Eclipse II from their Custom Shop. It's a nice gun but may have to get another Wilson Protector.

Good shooting and be safe.

P-3AT's grand daddy

For anyone carrying Kel-Tec. Back in the '90's their was a company by the name of Grendel based in Cocoa, Florida that made a variety of polymer frame guns. When the lawsuits against manufacturers started to get out of hand the owner of Grendel sold the plant and helped to retool to make Kel-tecs for the new owners.

Back to our scheduled thread.

I've carried a full-size M1911 for years. I admit now and then I drop a Colt Detective Special into my pocket as I'm going out the door if I don't happen to have my M1911 on my person.

I carry a Kimber Eclipse 5" in a Milt Sparks VM-2 IWB holster. I am 180lbs 5'10" and it is really comfortable for me.

Glock 27 (subcompact)

I've carried a Glock 23 a few times, but 99.9% of the time it's the 27.

Colt Defender on the hip and P3AT in the back pocket. Only the Kel-Tec when clothing will not permit the Colt.

Normally I carry a 5" SA Mil Spec 1911A1. However, here lately I have been carrying a Ruger P97DC or a Taurus 40 S&W 24/7. I have a PPKS/S that I use for those times when a full size just can't be easily covered.

Well i have been carrying for just over a year and 90% of the time i have my Makarov on me in an IWB holster. If i don't want to go back to my room and grab the Mak ill grab my J frame S&W. Or if i feel like doing the "indifferently concealed" thing ill grab my 4" S&W K frame model 19 .357. Very nice gun. Got it for the cost of a tank of gas:neener:
